my name is ankita (rhymes with "cheetah").

currently

• finishing my m.tech at bits pilani (wilp), specialising in natural language processing.
• building fun projects like ai-fitness-coach and sign-language-translator — because what's a product manager without technical applications.
• writing small essays here when an idea won't leave me alone.
• training for my third half marathon (and potentially hyrox).

previously

• working engineer who transitioned into product manager and now is shipping product to real humans and learning in public.
• published two research papers on applied ml — covid detection and diabetes prediction. see papers.
• on weekends i participate in hackathons to build side projects like adda-outing.

why i build

i make things out of curiosity and my own problem statement. if i'm not curious about a problem, no amount of "it'd look good on my resume" gets me to finish it. the projects above all started as a question i couldn't google my way out of.

on being a product

i've come to believe each of us is quietly, a product. the question isn't whether you are one — it's whether you're paying attention to your distribution. linkedin, instagram and x are mine.
